BACKGROUND
The San Pablo Police Department contracts with SST ShotSpotter for its gunfire location services. This system allows the San Pablo Police Department to obtain geo-location data of gunfire within the City of San Pablo's coverage area. This information is critical for police officers and detectives when investigating shooting related criminal incidents, including homicides and other violent crime. The annual maintenance contract for this service is approximately $56,700.

The effective date of this Agreement is July 1, 2016 and shall continue until June 30, 2017 unless terminated pursuant to the contract. At the City's discretion, the City Manager is authorized to exercise up to four (4) additional one-year options subject to funding availability authorized by the City Council in the applicable fiscal year, but in no event shall the term be longer than five (5) years from the effective date.

Public Bidding Requirements
