The Street Lighting and Landscape Assessment District provides funding for Infrastructure: Park and Median Island Maintenance, which is an adopted policy item under the FY 2016-17 City Council Priority Workplan.
CEQA Compliance Statement
CEQA does not apply because creation of government funding mechanisms or similar fiscal activities are not a project pursuant to 14 Cal Code of Regulations section 15378(b)(4) and further that maintenance projects are exempt under 14 Cal. Code of Regulations section 15301.
BACKGROUND
The San Pablo Street Lighting and Landscape Assessment District No. 1982-1 was formed in August of 1982. The boundary of this District is identical to the incorporated limits of the City of San Pablo. This resolution preliminarily approves the Engineer's Report, which describes the improvements, gives an estimate of the total cost of the improvements, contains a diagram of the District, and gives an estimate of the annual assessment for Fiscal Year 2016/17. This resolution also sets a date for a Public Hearing for July 5, 2016 and directs the publication of notice in accordance with the requirements of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 (Streets & Highways Code Section 22500).
