BACKGROUND

The term of current member Roberta Feliciano expires February 2021, thus creating a vacancy. Staff has received an application from Ms. Feliciano seeking reappointment on the Planning Commission.

In addition, Dorothy Gantt was appointed by the City Council on January 11, 2021, as the City Clerk, thus requiring her to resign from the Planning Commission.

For compliance, a Notice of Vacancies will be posted for a minimum of 20 days, which would allow time for the City Clerk’s Office to receive applications.  The deadline to receive applications would be February 8, 2021 by 6:00 p.m. by the City Clerk’s office. The Notice will be posted at City Hall, the Senior Center, the Community Center, the Library, eNews, and the Local Access Channel 26. Applications must be transmitted electronically by the deadline by emailing them to CityClerk@SanPabloCA.gov <mailto:CityClerk@SanPabloCA.gov>.

Virtual interviews of all applicants, including Ms. Feliciano, will be conducted sometime during the week of February 16, 2021. The applicants selected to serve on the Planning Commission will be required to attend a mandatory orientation either February 16 or February 22. The first official meeting of the selected members will be on Tuesday, February 23, 2021.
