BACKGROUND
On June 26, 2019 the City Manager's Office received a request from Joseph Aita, West Contra Costa Salesian Boys and Girls Club (WCCSBGC) President, announcing their annual golf tournament. The event will be held at the historic Richmond Country Club on Monday, August 26, 2019, and the tournament is their most significant fundraising event.

For the past 73 years, the WCC Salesian Boys and Girls Club (WCCSBGC) has remained dedicated to ensuring that underserved children and teens in the communities of San Pablo and Richmond have access to quality after school and summer programs that enhance their lives and shape their future. Each year, over 3,300 youth participate in a broad range of programs in five core areas: Character and Leadership Development, Education and Career Development, Health and Life Skills, the Arts and Sports, Fitness and Recreation. The youth also receive daily tutoring and homework assistance. Nearly all of the Club's membership comes from low-income families.

FISCAL IMPACT
A total of $30,000 has been budgeted and earmarked for Event Annual Sponsorship for FY2019/20 under the Adopted FY 2018-21 Quadrennial Operating Budget - City Council Division (100-1110-44050). The authorized sponsorship in the amount of $1,100 will be deducted from this expense balance...
