BACKGROUND

The Citizens Oversight Committee for Measures Q and K consists of at least five members who shall either be San Pablo residents or representatives of San Pablo businesses.  The Committee reviews and reports on all revenues and expenditures received by the City through Measures Q and K to ensure such revenues are spent by the City in a manner consistent with the voter-approved measures.

There are currently two vacant positions on the Measures Q & K Citizens Oversight Committee with the recent passing of member Leonard McNeil and the resignation of member Pete Dito. The vacancy notice was posted on May 7, 2019 and will continue to be posted until all vacancies are filled.

To date, the City Clerk’s Office has received one application from former City Councilmember Genoveva Calloway, who satisfies the San Pablo residency requirement. Staff recommends Ms. Calloway be appointed to a full four-year term. The vacancy notice will remain posted until the remaining seat (to complete the term of former member Leonard McNeil) is filled.
