This proposed action is not a project under CEQA pursuant to Guidelines section 15378(b)(2): Continuing administrative or maintenance activities, such as purchases of supplies and equipment that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment.
BACKGROUND
In order to provide suitable transportation for staff assigned to the Support Services Division, the Police Department requests to purchase two 2019 Ford Fusions Hybrids at $23,727 each for a total cost of $47,454, including sales tax, tire tax, and transporter fees, and a maintenance plan.
San Pablo Municipal Code 3.16.110.(e) (Cooperative Purchasing) allows the City to forego a formal bid process for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies and services, and buy said equipment directly from a vendor if the price was established by competitive bidding by another public jurisdiction.
The Police Department requests purchase of two 2019 Ford Fusions Hybrids utilizing the California State contract 1-18-23-10(A-H) from Downtown Ford Sales Sacramento as listed in Attachment A and C.
FISCAL IMPACT
The cost of the two Ford Fusion vehicles is $47,454 utilizing the California State contract 1-18-23-10(A-H) listed as Attachment B. The remaining $2,546 will be used to fit the vehicles with Police Department decals and equipment. Funding in the amount of $50,000 is available from the approved ...
