BACKGROUND
In compliance with Municipal Code 3.04.260, this action would set a public hearing on the Operating Budget and the CIP Budget for May 20, 2019 and confirm that such public hearing shall be duly noticed. The public hearing will provide key information that will allow the City Council and members of the public to understand the proposed mid-cycle update to the Quadrennial Budget, covering Fiscal Years 2019/20 and 2020/21, for City services as well as the spending plan for capital improvement projects proposed for implementation over the next four fiscal years (FY 2020-23). The budget calendar is attached.
Budget, Fiscal & Legislative Standing Committee Review of Proposed Quadrennial Budget:
The City Manager and City's Budget Team will also meet with the Budget, Fiscal and Legislative Standing Committee of the City Council on May 8, 2019 to review the draft Mid-cycle update to the Quadrennial Operating for FY 2019/20 and 2020/21 and the updated CIP Budget for detailed review prior to the scheduled May 20, 2019 budget hearing date.

This report sets the public hearing and has no direct fiscal impact.
