COMPLIANCE STATEMENTS
The Phases 3 and 4 of the Plaza San Pablo Roadway Improvements (the "Project") is in the approved capital projects budget for the City of San Pablo.
CEQA Compliance Statement
The Project is consistent with, and encompassed in, the Mitigated Negative Declaration for the Mixed Use Center South Regulating Plan adopted by the City Council on October 17, 2011 and submitted to the State of California's Clearinghouse and Planning Unit (SCH No. 2011092047).
BACKGROUND
The City completed the construction of Plaza San Pablo Phases 1 and 2 of the Plaza San Pablo Roadway Improvements in 2016. Plaza San Pablo Phases 3 and 4 is the continuation of the Plaza San Pablo Roadway Improvements project and provides the same type of improvements. Phase 3 and 4 work included demolition of existing concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, AC pavement, and select utilities; installation of new underground utilities, storm dram piping and inlets, sanitary sewer main pipe and sanitary sewer manhole, fine grading and placement of base rock, concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, AC pavement, ADA ramps, signage and striping, bio-swales, landscaping and planting, irrigation system and construction of decorative street lighting.
A construction contract for the project was awarded by City Council on March 6, 2017, to Maggiora & Ghilotti, Inc. of San Rafael, CA in the amount of $1,619,824. The project was completed, including punch list items, as of March 1, 2019.
