BACKGROUND
On March 7, 2019 the City Manager's office received an email from Ms. Carol Robinson, Fundraising Co-chairwoman of the San Pablo Rotary Club, requesting City Council to consider a fee waiver in the amount of $770 for the use of Maple Hall for their annual "Night in Tuscany" fundraiser event on Friday, April 26, 2019.
The San Pablo Rotary Club is a non-profit (501(c)(4)) corporation with all proceeds to be contributed to local community organizations, including services to youth and seniors.
The annual dinner and fundraiser event would be open to the public. Upon approval by the City Council, City staff will coordinate with San Pablo Rotary Club for event details and planned facility uses as specified under existing City policies and regulations for use of Maple Hall for charity events planned by a community services organization.
Also, it is customary for the San Pablo City Council to support the Rotary Club by participating and attending their annual event. Table sponsorship includes eight (8) tickets to be used by Elected Officials including City Council, City Treasurer and City Clerk or designated staff if all are not available to attend.
