BACKGROUND
On November 30, 2017 Rafael Torres, President of SPUYSC, submitted a letter of request to the City Manager requesting the waiver of fees for El Portal Soccer Field and Rumrill Sports Park (Fields 1, 2, and the practice field):
* El Portal field from March 12, 2018 thru June 29, 2018
o Monday - Friday from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM
o Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
o
* Rumrill Sports Park from January 3, 2018 thru June 29, 2018
o Monday - Friday from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
o Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
SPUYSC is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization dedicated to the youth and families in the City of San Pablo. They provide the opportunity to play soccer to approximately 200 boys and girls ages 3 to 18 years. Through the sport of soccer, the SPUYSC has been able to increase active healthy participation for participants in an outdoor environment. SPUYSC has also been able to promote sportsmanship, leadership and teambuilding skills.
