County Library Relocation Project is an adopted policy item under the FY 2015-17 Council Priority Workplan Update, effective October 1, 2016. City-wide Security Surveillance System is also a policy item in the FY2015-17 City Council Priority Workplan.
CEQA Compliance Statement
This action involves minor alterations to an existing facility that is being renovated as the San Pablo Library and thus is categorically exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15301.
BACKGROUND
The City has secured a long term lease and approved construction (Strawn Construction) of the new library at 13731 San Pablo Avenue. The lease and construction were approved by Resolutions 2016-148 and 2016-269.
The City desires to engage a consultant to provide design, purchase, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, test and warranty of wireless surveillance cameras services for the library.
The City has a current FY 2016/17 professional services contract with ODIN System Inc. for design, purchase, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, test and warranty of wireless surveillance cameras services. The contract was approved by Resolution 2016-229. The contract is capped at costs of $100,300.
