BACKGROUND
Kaiser Permanente's (KP) East Bay Community Benefit Program Grant is a competitive grant, open to all East Bay public governmental agencies, profit and nonprofit institutions, institutions of higher education, community groups, and faith-based organizations with an emphasis on reaching low-income, under resourced communities. For this particular funding cycle, KP is focusing on funding priorities that emphasize Access and Delivery, Healthy Eating Active Living, Behavioral Health, and Community and Family Safety. These priorities align well with priorities of the Community Services Department (Recreation, Seniors, and Youth Services) as well as the Community Action Plan (CAP) document that was memorialized by the Child Obesity Prevention Task Force in 2014.

The grant deadline is April 28, 2017. The award ranges between $30,000 and $50,000 and all awards are subject to the availability of funds.
