BACKGROUND

On March 22, 2017, the West County Alcohol Policy Work Group, a program offered by the Bay Area Community Resources, requested the issuance a resolution or proclamation recognizing April 2017 as Alcohol Awareness Month. The purpose of this effort is to call upon all citizens to encourage efforts that will provide early education about alcoholism and addiction, increase support for individuals and families coping with alcoholism, and work to develop a safe and supportive environment for San Pablo community members in recovery.
