Under MAJOR POLICY GOAL: Expand Housing Options, there are several adopted policies related to rental regulations (tenant protections) adopted under the FY 2025-27 City Council Priority Workplan, effective April 7, 2025.

BACKGROUND
As previously discussed by the City Council at their Special City Council Meeting conducted on March 24, 2025, this Special City Council Meeting (Workshop) has been scheduled to further address existing rental regulation policies contained in the Adopted FY 2025-27 City Council Workplan (Workplan), adopted on April 7, 2025 via Resolution 2025-044, with a further policy discussion on rent stabilization.
