FY 2023-2025 Council Priority Workplan Compliance Statements:
Improve Public Safety - Priority 500 Employ Integrated Efforts to Reduce Blight is a major policy goal contained in the FY 2023-25 City Council Priority Workplan, effective April 7, 2025.
BACKGROUND
For more than 12 years, the Public Works Department Maintenance Division has utilized Cartegraph software, recently acquired by OpenGov, Inc., to track maintenance activities, manage infrastructure asset data, and support the City's asset management program. Since entering into an agreement with Cartegraph Systems, LCC in July 2014, the Public Works Department has continuously utilized the platform to document work activities, maintain asset inventories, track maintenance history, and support regulatory reporting requirements. In 2023, the City executed a three-year agreement with OpenGov for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software, which expires on July 31, 2026.
The EAM platform remains a critical operational tool for the Public Works Department, supporting the management of streets, streetlights, landscape assets, stormwater infrastructure, facilities, and other public assets. Continued use of the software allows staff to efficiently track work orders, monitor asset conditions, maintain historical records, and improve maintenance planning and service delivery.
