council priority workshop statement

Improve Public Safety is a Major Policy Goal under the FY 2023-25 City Council Priority Workplan, effective May 1, 2023.

BACKGROUND

Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) is strengthening its gas transmission systems to better serve communities. In order to facilitate the work, PG&E would like a temporary construction easement on the vacant lot located at 1655 Folsom Avenue and Wildcat Creek Trail. Under the terms of the proposed easement, PG&E will be using approximately 6,000 square feet of staging area.

The work and the use of the site will commence on August 1, 2023 and will end on November 30, 2023. PG&E has a right to extend the term on a month by month basis for up to three (3) additional months.

PG&E will pay four thousand one hundred dollars ($4,100) to the City as compensation for the temporary construction easement. If the term is extended beyond November 30, 2023, PG&E will pay one thousand twenty-five dollars ($1,025) for each additional month.

FISCAL IMPACT

The City will receive $4,100 from PG&E as compensation for the temporary construction easement. If the term is extended beyond November 30, 2023, the City will receive $1,025 for each additional month.
