COMPLIANCE STATEMENT
Build a Healthy Community: Support LifeLong Medical Care, Inc. in Providing Enhanced Medical Services are adopted policy items contained in the FY 2025-27 City Council Priority Workplan, effective April 7, 2025.

BACKGROUND
The City Manager's Office received an invitation from the Lytton Casino and LifeLong Medical Care announcing the 2026 San Pablo Lytton Casino Annual Golf Tournament and Fundraiser Event to benefit Lifelong Medical Care scheduled on Monday, August 31, 2026, at the Richmond Country Club Golf Course in Richmond, California (Att. B).

Support of Lifelong Medical Care is consistent with the City's major policy goal of having health care readily available for its residents. LifeLong Medical Care is dedicated to ensuring that everyone, regardless of their ability to pay, has access to high-quality health and social services in Contra Costa, Alameda and Marin County. Each year, LifeLong Medical Care provides health services to more than 52,000 patients within the three counties and 75% are below the Federal Poverty Level.

The San Pablo City Council recently adopted a policy on funding one-time, discretionary grant awards for special events activities and events sponsored by eligible non-profit organizations (Resolution 2026-074). As part of the policy, City Council may exercise its own discretion in awarding one-time public financial assistance to eligible organizations or groups contingent upon the following requirements:

1. Demonstrated community benefit that enriches the local community;
