FY 2025-2027 Council Priority Workplan Compliance Statements:
Item 513 - Continue Efforts to Support Hillside Protection and Sustain City Drainage Infrastructure is a major policy goal contained in the FY 2025-27 City Council Priority Workplan, adopted on April 7, 2025.

BACKGROUND
This staff report serves to update the City Council on the current status of the 1850 Mesa Buena Emergency Storm Drain Repair project ("Project") pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22050 and San Pablo Municipal Code Section 3.16.110.a. On April 21, 2025, City Council ratified, by unanimous vote, emergency actions previously taken by the City Manager (Resolution 2025-049). This action included entering into a contract with Golden Bay Construction for $52,360 and authorization for the continued emergency procurement actions.

A Notice to Proceed was issued for April 15, 2025, allowing Golden Bay Construction Inc. to begin emergency work, with an expected completion within 28 calendar days. The contractor has procured materials and informed the City that construction can start on April 28th. The City has approved this start date and scheduled a pre-construction meeting for April 24th.
