BACKGROUND
Community members from the City of San Pablo and the City of Richmond formed an Event Committee and are coordinating this year's Fiestas Patrias Event / Latin American Independence Day Parade to be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, beginning at 10:00 am.

From the City of Richmond, the parade route will travel westbound on Barrett Avenue to northbound on 23rd Street, then turn east onto Market Avenue in San Pablo. The parade will end at the intersection of Church Lane and Dover Avenue in San Pablo. The parade is expected to be completed in approximately three hours, and its total distance is approximately two miles.

The Event Committee requests a waiver of all related traffic control fees and use of the Senior Center parking lot on the day of the event. The increased parade size will occupy all traffic lanes; however, only intermittent road closures will be in place to allow for the parade to pass through designated City streets.
