Major Policy Goals: Enhance Community Resilience and Build a Healthy Community are adopted policy items under the FY 2025-27 Council Priority Workplan, effective April 7, 2025.
BACKGROUND
On April 23, 2025, the City Manager's Office received a request for sponsorship from the Organizacion de Negocios Unidos/United Business Organization to support its Mother's Day celebration. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at Veteran's Memorial Hall (968 23rd St. Richmond, CA 94804) and is a free event. The Mother's Day celebration event will be honoring three mothers from each of the 25 local elementary schools who have gone above and beyond in volunteering and supporting educational opportunities. The event will include a luncheon, gifts, flowers, music, and entertainment.
The Organizacion de Negocios/United Business Organization is a newly formed organization of business and civic leaders in San Pablo and Richmond. They are a group that is dedicated to addressing the needs of the 23rd Street commercial district and surrounding areas. The mission of the organization includes aiming to create a lasting, positive impact that drives job creation, promotes innovation, supports economic development, and advances social causes that align with the interests and investments of their members in the community.
