BACKGROUND
Mayor Pabon-Alvarado requested this proclamation to formally designate November 2026 as Lung Cancer Awareness Month in San Pablo, highlighting the significant public health burden of lung cancer and the need to address persistent health disparities through increased awareness, early detection, and screening.
Procedurally, the City Council generally approves requests for Proclamations by majority vote prior to official issuance at a subsequent meeting.
