FY 2025-2027 Council Priority Workplan Compliance Statements:
Build a Healthy Community - (109) Develop Public Facilities for Active Living is a major policy goal contained in the FY 2025-27 City Council Priority Workplan, effective April 7, 2025.

BACKGROUND
Maintenance on arterial roadways is a priority of the Public Works Department. San Pablo Dam Road is the gateway to most of the retail areas of the City. The sidewalks and asphalt between Interstate 80 and San Pablo Avenue have needed significant maintenance for several years. The sidewalks show a host of cracks and the asphalt surface of the roadway has several potholes. As this is the gateway to retail and entertainment areas of the City, the condition of these assets creates many visitors' first impression of the City.
