BACKGROUND
The Contra Costa Community College District (4CD) serves more than 50,000 students annually across its three colleges: Diablo Valley College, Los Medanos College, and Contra Costa College in San Pablo along with their satellite campuses. These Countywide institutions provide essential academic, career technical, and workforce development programs that directly benefit San Pablo residents. Many local students, in San Pablo, rely on 4CD as their primary pathway to higher education, job training, and university transfer opportunities, making the condition and functionality of 4CD facilities a matter of direct community interest.
Measure G, a general obligation bond measure placed on the ballot by 4CD, is intended to fund critical repairs and modernization needs across the District. According to publicly available information, Measure G would support projects such as repairing deteriorating roofs, plumbing, and electrical systems; upgrading classrooms and laboratories to meet current instructional and workforce standards; improving campus safety and security infrastructure; and enhancing energy efficiency...
