BACKGROUND
Fiestas Patrias is an annual celebration honoring Latin American and Lusophone independence and cultural traditions. As part of the 2026 festivities, local businesses decorated storefronts to showcase community pride. San Pablo Sportsman Liquor, owned by Arvind Sharma, was selected for the “Most Engaging and Beautiful Storefront Decoration” award.
Procedurally, the City Council generally approves requests for Proclamations by majority vote prior to official issuance at a subsequent meeting.
