Improve Public Safety is a City Council Priority on the Fiscal Year 2023-2025 City Council Priority Workplan effective May 1, 2023.
BACKGROUND
On April 4, 2022, City Council adopted resolution 2022-056 which among other things, appropriated $100,000 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding under Fund 120 to Wireless/Fiber/Broadband Infrastructure Projects of which $76,070.02 is left unspent.
The City is currently building a New San Pablo Police Department Headquarters and Regional Training Facility (Project). The designer and builder of the Project is C. Overaa & Co. (Overaa).
The proposed resolution re-appropriates and obligates the remaining $76,070.02 in ARPA funds under Fund 120 to the Project budget to fund technology equipment, infrastructure and fiber optic expenses related to the Project which is part of the scope of the Overaa contract.
FISCAL IMPACT
The proposed resolution authorizes reallocating and obligating of $76,070.02 in ARPA funds under Fund 120 to the Project budget 320-0104-43605-GFD-422 to fund a portion of the Overaa contract.
