CONSIDER RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH BAJAN SECURITY FOR FOUR YEARS FOR (1) SECURITY SERVICES AT RUMRILL SPORTS COMPLEX, AND SECURITY AND GREETING SERVICES AT CITY HALL IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED 150,000 PER YEAR, FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $600,000 OVER FOUR YEARS AND (2) PRIMARY SECURITY GUARD SERVICES FOR PRIVATE RENTALS OF CITY FACILITIES TO BE PAID BY THE RENTERS.

BACKGROUND
On March 28, 2022, the City issued a Request for Proposals ("RFP") for security services for Rumrill Sports Complex, security and greeting services at City Hall, and security at private rentals for City reserved buildings (see Attachment 1) for a period of up to 5 consecutive fiscal years.
Private rental security costs are considered "to be determined" as security for all private rentals is paid for by the individual renter. Security requirements for private rentals are determined by the San Pablo Police Department as part of the private rental review process. The fees paid for private rental security will be handled outside of the $150,000 per year contractual obligation of the City for security at Rumrill Sports Complex, security and greeting services, and after-hours meetings at City Hall Council Chambers.
The City received one proposal from Bajan Security Services whose proposal demonstrated the expertise and qualifications necessary to meet the goals outlined in the RFP.
