BACKGROUND
The Information Technology (IT) Division is working to setup network connectivity at the new PD building. Wired and wireless network connectivity are critical in establishing a modern and reliable IT infrastructure to support operational and public safety needs. To ensure robust connectivity, IT staff is recommending the purchase and deployment of new network equipment in the new PD building. The proposed equipment will provide reliable, high-performance capabilities for years to come.
PURCHASING
This purchase is in accordance with City of San Pablo Municipal Code Chapter 3.16, pursuant to the cooperative purchasing exemption in Section 3.16.110(E), which allows the City to join with other governmental agencies for the joint purchase of equipment, materials, supplies and services or to buy from another public agency's competitive contract without the City undertaking its own competitive bidding process.
