They provide the opportunity to play soccer to approximately 200 boys and girls ages 3 to 18 years. Through the sport of soccer, the SPUYSC has been able to increase active healthy participation for participants in an outdoor environment. SPUYSC has also been able to promote sportsmanship, leadership and teambuilding skills.

The SPUYSC is attempting to reassure families that by being in partnership with the City of San Pablo that children will be protected regardless of their religion, race, gender, or immigration status and that no children are left behind due to socioeconomic disadvantages.

FISCAL IMPACT

The fiscal impact for FY2018/19 (2018 spring season) will be subsidizing approximately $22,920 in rental revenue for Rumrill Sports Park and $5,860 for El Portal Park for a total subsidized amount of $28,780.
