FY 2023-25 City Council Priority Work Plan Compliance Statement
Enhance Community Resilience and Build a Healthy Community are adopted policy items under the FY 2023-25 Council Priority Workplan, effective May 1, 2023.
BACKGROUND
The City Manager received a letter dated June 13, 2024 from Miriam Wong, Executive Director of The Latina Center, requesting the waiver of rental fees for the use of Maple Hall at the San Pablo City Hall for the graduation ceremony for their Women’s Health Leadership and Young Latin Future Leaders programs on Saturday, July 13, 2024. These leadership programs are designed to empower women and youth within the Latino communities. Each year, The Latina Center has 25 graduates from West Contra Costa from their leadership programs.
The Latina Center has requested that the City waive the $1,005 rental fee for the use of Maple Hall for 5 hours. The Latina Center will provide adequate liability insurance associated with the use of the facility and pay the Building Attendant staffing fees and Security Guard fees.

FISCAL IMPACT
A total of $15,000 has been budgeted and earmarked for Citywide Fee Waivers under the adopted FY 2024-25 City Council Department Budget - City-wide Fee Waivers (100-1110-44050). The authorized fee waiver in the amount of $1,005 will be deducted from this account leaving a remaining balance of $13,995 for the remainder of the FY 2024-25 period for future waiver authorizations by Council.
