BACKGROUND
Every year, the San Pablo Economic Development Corporation (SPEDC) conducts a campaign to get hundreds of shoppers to nominate their favorite local San Pablo small business for Small Business of the Year. This year’s Small Business of the Year is Meat Market D.C. located at 2077 23rd Street, San Pablo.
Meat Market D.C. is owned by Gonzalo Chavez. Meat Market D.C. takes their time to form long-term relationships and show up for the community, hiring locally, keeping prices affordable and making the customer feel like family. Gonzalo has one of the most organized, clean and well-kept fresh food markets in San Pablo; it is pristine with great fresh fruit and vegetables, salsas and meat. This butcher shop, offers full preparation - cuts, seasonings and marinades - as well as meat bundles for the best savings.
